We are all human, the same

We are all human, the same.

When you remove our layer of skin, what's left?

We have the same make-up. We are blood, bones, muscles, cells. Even if we are different heights, blood types or muscle sizes, we are just variations of being the same, being human.

Babies are blank slates. I believe they're born pure and with a gentle nature. A baby's natural tendency is not to harm.

As a toddler grows they may go through an aggressive stage because they want what they want. They are still pure within, they just don't have a greater understanding of what they want.

As we grow older we learn that it isn't okay to just hit someone if you want what they have. Can you seriously imagine hitting someone because you want their car, their shoes or their coffee? No of course not, we understand now.

We all have a kind nature within us, just as we are born. It is our environment that begins to shape the actions and feelings we have around life situations. Our core, pureness - our being, remains but it begins to get clouded by thoughts.

Our being always remains.

Do you believe a baby is worthy and deserving of happiness in life? Do you believe a baby is entirely good enough? Do you believe a baby is capable of learning?

I find that there are a few common self-limiting thoughts. See if you attach to any, a few or all:

I am not deserving of happiness

I am not worthy of happiness

I am not good enough

I am a failure

It's funny how we look at a baby and simply go yes, they deserve it all! Yet as we grow we start to feel the opposite way. We are the same being as when we were born, yet our beliefs about ourselves are vastly different from a baby or another human sometimes.

We believe other people are deserving of those things, but not us. Though remember we are all the same. Each human is the same, born with the same nature and purity.

No one is above or below you in being.

It is your environments and what you've learnt that starts to put labels on others.

You still have the gentle nature you were born with. You are still worthy.

Black and white.

Black and white are the facts. It is the thought and emotion we attach to a situation that makes it colourful. Often we get caught in not believing what is black and white in relation to ourselves.

Black and white is the fact. We create conflict within when our emotion, how we feel towards an idea, does not match up with the black and white facts.

Black and white: all humans are deserving. Emotional conflict: I am human, but I don’t feel deserving.

You may start identifying that you know the black and white fact but are working towards emotionally attaching to it, as it will take time.
